Bee Sting Cake

Bienenstich Kuchen – or Bee Sting Cake – is a traditional German dessert made of two thin layers of sponge cake with a creamy filling. The top is a crunchy topping made from a butter, honey and almond mix. The filling is made from vanilla custard mixed with cream with the sponge cake balancing out the sweetness of the filling and the topping.

cream, sugar, flour, eggs, almonds, milk, honey, vanilla paste, baking powder
